Undeniable Appeal

Creative writers. Do you want your offerings to attract more attention? Of course you do. Wondering how you can make this a reality? Well, there are several ways and I’m going to share a few with you, starting with the one that has been my go to for many years now. I ensure what I write not only makes the reader think, but just as importantly, makes them desire to act on their thoughts as well.
To motivate people to act isn’t a simple thing to do, especially when not acting is so much more appealing to some. So, how do we ensure our words will motivate people to desire to get active? The return needs to be worth the investment. Example. If we write ‘I’ll pay five dollars to every person who reads this to the end’ at the top of our offering, more than likely the average person would read it. The investment is their time and attention, the return is the five dollars. Though five dollars could never compete or compare with time or attention, for some, it’ll be appealing enough to have them willing to invest two of their greatest commodities to receive it. The point I’m out to make is that our writing must offer something people will see as a benefit to them.
Titles and subtitles are very vital. These two things are what potential readers will see first, and if the offering possesses them, which, in my humble opinion, I believe it should, especially the title. Titles are like previews of a movie. They offer a glimpse of the coming attraction. Though titles and subtitles can attract attention, the content will determine how long it’s held. I’ve seen many catchy titles that the content didn’t quite live up to. Everything relevant to creating quality content must align as one if we expect to achieve the desired result, which is not only to drive traffic to our content, but to ensure it remains parked as well.
People are always in search of solutions to problems, seeing problems seems to surround us all daily. So, if we can consistently offer what people are searching for, they will look no further than everywhere our content appears. The best way I’ve discovered to offer successful solutions is by sharing what has assisted me. Experience is the best teacher, as well as an even better student. Our experiences get better because we’re always in search of something better. Someone shares a similar experience to ours but, with a totally different outcome. This opens the door of curiosity, which allows us to rush in with perpetual questions. Questions when answered give us the opportunity to evolve, and evolution is what we all need to embrace, even if it’s something we normally don’t want to do.
Evolution involves effort, effort is work, and great work is difficult. But great work brings about appropriate appreciation for accomplishment. And great work isn’t always physical.
Actually, we do our greatest work mentally. It’s difficult to come up with creative ideas that people will find appealing once we decide to make them tangible. Creativity not only breeds longevity, but just as importantly, it ensures people will stay interested in what we offer as well. Being predictable is a surefire way to become forgettable. The element of surprise should be the foundation of our thinking. When we can consistently keep people guessing what’s next, they’ll keep coming back to find out.
All of this is how we can secure more traffic to our content. People want and need a reason to think and desire to act on their thoughts. Will this content be of benefit to me? Will I evolve mentally, physically, spiritually, and financially? Will I feel better about myself after reading this? These are just a few questions people ask themselves when it comes to their time, attention, and investing them in reading. Our goal should be to ensure these questions never arise because they know from past encounters we’re guaranteed to deliver a hefty return on their precious investment.
A problem is nothing more than a solution to strengthen our thinking.-Henery X
Remember. I’m not here to convince you to believe. I’m here to offer you something else to consider.
Write with purpose on purpose.
Soooooooooo many good gems in this offering. If this was highlightable I would have highlighted the whole thing.
I agree with everything you said.
It is true magic when a writer can tap deeply into their skillsets, experiences , thoughts and perspectives and weave unique magic into each written word that they offer the world.
Just like we have more than one favorite genre when watching a movie, the same applies when it comes to reading.
Reading shouldn’t feel like a chore, we want to read things that entertain, enlighten and inspire.
Keep being your brand of Excellence Henery.
If we can consistently get people to think and desire to act on their thoughts via our content, we'll become one of their favorite content creators.
Fight hard to stand out.
